Dr. Soyode is a board certified neurologist with special qualifications in child neurology.
Board Certification:
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certification in Neurology with special qualification in Child Neurology.
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certification in Epilepsy.
Education:
Dr. Soyode earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine at the University of Lagos in Nigeria. He then completed his pediatric residency at Michigan State University, Kalamazoo. He subsequently completed his Pediatric Neurology training at the university of Washington in Seattle.
Work Experience:
After his fellowship in Seattle, Dr. Soyode moved to Grand Rapids, joining the division of Pediatric Neurology at Helen DeVos Children’s hospital (Spectrum Health Medical Group) in August of 2009. He left the Children’s Hospital to start his own practice in May of 2014.
Special Interests:
Apart from the broad field of General Child Neurology, Dr. Soyode’s special areas of interest include Epilepsy, Developmental delays/Autism, Neurometabolic disorders, CP/Spasticity, Migraines/Headaches, Neuromuscular medicine (muscular dystrophy and SMA) and movement disorders.
